The Gran Fondo keychain that lives on a pack, not in a drawer

A keychain has one honest test: does it leave the drawer? The Gran Fondo Salt Lake batch passed it on a backpack somewhere above the valley, which is exactly where we hoped it would end up.
The recipe is simple: an oval of bamboo, the event mark etched deep enough to survive a few seasons of pocket sand, and a link of reclaimed chain doing the clipping. Nothing decorative that can't take a fall on granite.
Riders finish a fondo with a story. The keychain's job is to keep it within reach.
